June 17th, 2016
The day after my graduation show (Expectation Kills Art) I got contacted by Lauren Every-Wortman curator of Hong Kong Contemporary Art (HOCA) Foundation, who was present during the opening, to be a part of their event ART-IT on July 12th.
Art-It is a bi-monthly art-focused networking and socialising event in Hong Kong. For Art-It’s first five meet-ups, HOCA invites graduate students and recent graduates in creative fields to present a recent art project or series. The artist is asked to give a short talk explaining their practice and previous works and the artwork presented for the event. The artists are encouraged to create something interactive, that involves the participation of the audience.
For my presentation I will invite my audience to participate in my ongoing Identities project, a collaboration project with my subjects. I will be taking portraits of the participants and print the photos on the moment and welcome them to react to their own image through physical means: drawing, cutting, erasing...
The event is July 12th, 2016.
Here are some of the previous collaboration with my subjects.
